We Can See Everything!

And there's nothing in the shipping industry that hasn't felt the effects of COVID-19.

Parcel deliveries are taking longer to arrive at their final destination, 3rd party delivery services are springing up, carriers are working longer hours to keep up with the volume, and more instances of loss, theft, and damage are occurring. Some carriers have met the challenge of scaling logistics in an uncertain time, while others have struggled.

We do anticipate that things will naturally level out over time, but it's a challenge to determine how, or when.

We are seeing an increased volume of delivery delays across all carriers, and as such, U-PIC Shipping Insurance has increased our claim filing timeline from 21 to 30 days after the date of shipment to account for the average additional time that a parcel may be in limbo.
